MEANS OIL OIL: THE MAKE OR BREAK INGREDIENT THAT'S OFTEN OVERLOOKED.
Our Organic Process
The tea seed is harvested from camellia trees in the Hunan region to be cold pressed and processed into an edible cooking oil. The camellia tree is grown in environments full of natural rainfall, sunshine, and soil, which in turn grows healthy and nutrient-rich raw seeds.
It takes five seasons for the camellia tree to bloom, bear fruit, and be picked. The best picking time only lasts for 10 days, as the quality of the tea seed oil can be affected by picking either too early or too late — which makes the picking process a difficult art that requires both patience and experience.
Our production process adopts low-temperature screw pressing technology to extract oil from raw tea seed seeds, ensuring a compact production line design and minimal environmental footprint. Low-temperature oil pressing improves the quality of raw tea seeds and is relatively more energy saving compared to traditional production technologies.
THE HEALTHY OPTION
Tea seed oil is rich in nutrients, vitamin E, and healthy fatty acids mainly composed of oleic acid and linoleic acid. Linoleic acid and linoleic acid are indispensable for maintaining the growth of human skin and hair and preventing arteriosclerosis. With its high antioxidant capacity, tea seed oil can lower blood pressure, detoxify the liver, and accelerate wound healing. Long-term consumption of tea seed oil also has noticeable effects on the alleviation of cardiovascular diseases, serum cholesterol, high blood pressure, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, and obesity.

We stand with the belief that eating better means more than eating healthier. We believe in flavor, knowledge, and culturally informed decisions when it comes to food.
Tea Seed Oil has been used for centuries in Asian cooking, but many people have no idea that it exists.
Sourced from the Hunan region in China, the oil is versatile and perfect for high temp recipes. Authentic asian cooking has mastered recipes that require turning up the heat without burning the food or losing flavor while maintaining the nutritional value of each meal. We pride ourselves on that. Authentic asian food is also made for sharing — there’s no better way to commune and celebrate than with delicious food in hand. We cherish these moments as some of our life’s greatest memories. We exist to inspire these values in all of your meals, regardless of where you come from.
